TV ratings: NBC wins demo with football as 49ers beat Vikings

As the San Francisco 49ers beat the Minnesota Vikings 34-14 Sunday night, the network that telecast the game, NBC, scored a ratings victory among the major networks in the key 18-49 demographic.
NBC generated a demo rating of 1.9, according to early numbers from Nielsen. In metered markets, the game itself got a rating of 5.8. The network drew an average of about 6 million viewers during prime time.

Still, CBS was the most-watched network of the night, with an average of 6.72 million viewers. “Big Brother” lured some 7.10 million viewers and got a demo rating of 2.3, up 10% from last week. Crime series “Unforgettable” followed to bring 6.75 million viewers and an 18-49 rating of 1.2, increasing 9% from last week.
ABC had “Family Dance Off,” a one-hour special in which five families competed for $10,000. The telecast brought in 3.9 million viewers and a rating of 0.8. “Secret Millionaire” fell 25% to its season low of 0.9.
Fox was in all repeats.
